The maps are backed onto linen and relate to the Acomb, Knapton and the Poppletons proposed planning scheme. It would appear that large parts of the proposal were never built. Each map is hand-coloured and there is a corresponding key.

The collection comprises a printed edition of John Guillim's 'Display of Heraldry' and correspondence and accounts relating to the business of William Peckitt.

The volume was owned by Peckitt, as a note in the front of the volume states it entered his collection in 1752. It would appear that Peckitt has hand-coloured the black and white heraldic symbols in Guillim's work.

Collection contains a scrapbook of cuttings and postcards relating to the York Historic Pageant of 1909. Also contains the book of the York Pageant, two copies of the York Pageant music and a historic York Pageant souvenir book.

A book containing coloured illustrations and articles on the history of York, as well as photographs of the people involved in the York Pageant, music from the Pageant, costumes, armoury and heraldry. The edition of this book was limited to 400 copies, of which this is numbered 122.

The volume consists of a handwritten autobiography of Oswald Allen, from his birth on 25th August 1767 through to around 1833. Allen began the volume in 1833. Indexed.
