Administrative history

The original home for girls was situated in Skeldergate and accepted around 12-14 girls, the price being 6/- per week. A Matron, Mrs Shann, was once president of the Home.

Collection contains minute books, annual reports relating to the running of the association and a uniform belt and visitors book with a signature from J. W. Rowntree. It also includes a large collection of legal and financial documents relating to a divorce.
