William Gilbertson, sole executor of the will of Alice Tomlinson, deceased, Elizabeth Gilbertson (his wife) the administratrix of the goods of Thomas Tomlinson, deceased who was the brother and only next of kin of the deceased and Matthew Plowman, the lawful husband of Maria Plowman (heretofore Pilmer, deceased) whilst living, the lawful niece, of the said deceased, having renounced Letters of Administration (with the said William) of the unadministered goods of the said deceased. The said Alice Tomlinson , Thomas Tomlinson and Maria Plowman (heretofore Pilmer) being the only persons entitled to distribute the residue of the personal estate and effects of the deceased. Mary Reid, widow, sister and legatee for life named in the said will, died in the lifetime of the deceased and Maria Plowman, a legatee for life substituted in the will, survived the deceased but died without having taken upon her Letters of Administration of the unadministered goods.

Mary Pilmer, spinster was one of the natural and lawful children of William Pilmer & Maria Plowman, wife of Matthew Plowman heretofore Pilmer, and as such one of the legatees substituted in the will of Jane Tomlinson late of York, spinster. Jane Tomlinson named William Pilmer her sole executor and residuary legatee (who died in her lifetime). Letters of Administration with will annexed were granted relating to the goods left unadministered of Jane Tomlinson, deceased who died on or about 29 April 1822 (late of Cawood), spinster. In October 1823 Letters of Administration were granted to Alice Tomlinson, spinster, the natural and lawful sister and one of the next of kin of the said deceased who for some time intermeddled in the goods of the said deceased, but died on 29 February 1836 leaving part thereof unadministered.
