The letters were received from family members and other acquaintances, on the death of Eva's husband George W Harding.

These signs are handwritten, with black text on a white background with a red and bright yellow sale banner. Each sign is unique, and there are two different sizes.

The cardboard signs advertise particular products and prices, as well as temporary closures of the business. These signs were created by Helen Harding. Each sign is unique, and some are single-sided, whilst others are double-sided.
