Papers relating to the bank in Coney St. Swann Clough & Co, Coney St, existed till 1879 and was taken over by Beckett's. The site was bought in 1746 and a house built on it. It was later sold in 1771 to Samuel Compton of Derby and used as bank known successively (1771-1802) as Crompton's, Garforth's and Raper's, or (accounts differ) Willoughby, Raper & Co., including Clough & Swann as partners.
