Corner of School Street and York Road. WJ Parker the chemist was a purpose-built shop at the end of this terrace, which was originally Albert Terrace. Parker sold to Boots in the 1950's. Next door is a butcher's shop and next to that Jeffrey's, a bakery.

Bond Garth Mews. The row of cottages at the side were demolished when the Methodist Church was built.

Probably 1920s when the first floodlighting of the Minster and the Bars was installed. This was generated by gas and operated by the Gas Board.
