The plaque has what appears to be a copper background and the school emblem (now detached from the back board). The plaque reads 'This library was erected by past and present pupils to commemorate the coming of age of Queen Anne Grammar School (1910-1931) and by them presented to the York City Council March 24th 1934.

Haggerston (Chief Librarian at the Newcastle upon Tyne Public Library) was only able to donate a few books to Morrell's cause, and he could not honour Morrell's requests for library reports as they are his own private property
Mr Councillor Bulmer was forwarded books of cuttings and the aforementioned table was in a book.
