The appointment of trustees relates to land in the township of Beswick in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The magazine was issued quarterly and contained articles, details of sports competitions, school rolls and information on the Old Boys' Association. During the First World War it also includes details of military honours obtained by former pupils and a roll of honour. The magazine was reissued in 1939, reverting to 'Volume 1', and during the Second World War the magazine includes lists of former pupils serving in HM Armed Forces.

The plaque has what appears to be a copper background and the school emblem (now detached from the back board). The plaque reads 'This library was erected by past and present pupils to commemorate the coming of age of Queen Anne Grammar School (1910-1931) and by them presented to the York City Council March 24th 1934.
