The collection comprises a printed edition of John Guillim's 'Display of Heraldry' and correspondence and accounts relating to the business of William Peckitt.

The volume was owned by Peckitt, as a note in the front of the volume states it entered his collection in 1752. It would appear that Peckitt has hand-coloured the black and white heraldic symbols in Guillim's work.

All the items are dated from after Peckitt's death in 1795, and were most likely produced as part of the winding-up of his estate.
