MBE Decoration awarded to Ronald Hansell, Nether Poppleton Parish Clerk for over 50 years. Also includes framed citation of the MBE Decoration.

Includes accompanying maps and conditions of sale. The farms were situated in Upper and Nether Poppleton, and were sold by the direction of F J O Montagu Esq.

Photocopy of a 1769 land award from the Commissioners granting access to land in Upper and Nether Poppleton (currently part of the Manor of Poppleton).

The maps are backed onto linen and relate to the Acomb, Knapton and the Poppletons proposed planning scheme. It would appear that large parts of the proposal were never built. Each map is hand-coloured and there is a corresponding key.
