Black and white image of a stained glass light depicting King Alfred, from St Hugh's School Bickley. Reverse contains a note addressed to JA Knowles 'Mr J Clement Bell acknowledges with thanks the receipt of his notes on the stained glass in Alsace'. Postmarked 23 April 1931.

Colour photo of two panels from a stained glass in Canterbury Cathedral: The Adoration of the Magi and The Wise Men warned not to return to Herod. On the reverse is a note describing window as 'most magnificent in England'. Postcard has not been posted, has no signature or postal address, but the note addresses a 'you' - presumably JA Knowles? Handwriting appears to be GH Kenyon's - see KNO/24/1884.
