There is a mix of material in the files, from various visits taken by the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir to Münster, Germany, and Lochem, the Netherlands.

The files include various publications, including a copy of the Münsterscher Männergesangverein (Münster Male Choral Society) 'MM Journal' (1992); a commemorative publication celebrating 110 years of the Münsterscher Men’s Singing Association (1999); and a 75th Jubilee magazine for Lochems Mannenkoor (Lochem's Men's Choir) (2010). The publications also include a commemorative publication for Mannergesangvereins Walsum (Men's Choir Walsum) (2004); a copy of '40 Jahre Partnerschaft 1968 - 2008' (40 years partnership) (2008), a book celebrating the partnership between Münsterscher Männergesangverein and York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir; and the travel memorabilia also contains a photograph album of a '40 Jahre Partnerschaft 1968 - 2008' exhibition. There are also various newspaper clippings, plus a full copy of issue 23 of the newspaper 'Verbandsgemeinde Mitteilungsblatt' (Union Municipality Bulletin) (2001), with an original photo which has been printed in the newspaper. The files also include documents relating to the planning of various trips, including information sheets, itineraries, correspondence and proposals for the European tour in 2000; a schedule for a joint concert between Lochems Mannenkoor and York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir in 2009; newsletters relating to a trip to Germany in 2013; and an itinerary and welcome booklet from a 2015 trip to 'Chorfest' in Münster; as well as various correspondence and information sheets. Memorabilia from these trips include a cassette tape with a choir members' reminiscences of a choir visit to Münster in 1969; a concert poster for an international concert in 2000; two "Münster und seine Partnerstädte" (Münster and his sister cities) lanyards; as well as photographs, brochures, flyers, programmes, restaurant menus, and city guides.

The choir memorabilia includes range of ephemera relating to the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir, including histories of the choir; tickets, posers and fliers for concerts and events; correspondence; and some travel memorabilia, such as coach itineraries. The memorabilia also includes two prints from artist David Golding from 'York Tour 2017'. This file includes various papers relating to the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir's finances. There is a set of accounts for 1995 which include membership subscription lists, and accounts relating to concerts, administration, room hires, gifts and awards. The accounts come with an index.

Other documents include a list of previous choir vice presidents, inventories and valuations used for insurance purposes, stock lists, details of treasurer responsibilities, correspondence, committee minutes and material relating to performances such as proposed concert programmes and song selections.

The file was originally labelled "accounts - details and invoices year commencing 31/12/95, vice presidents past lists and members, subscriptions 1993 onwards and sundry other papers".

The documents include accommodation arrangements, correspondence and accounts relating to the organisation of these trips.

The file also includes a proposal and quotations for a trip to Germany to take place in 2006. The main accounts for the choir's trip to Germany are included in the file of accounts and documents for the German tour in 2006 (reference: YPC/2/3/4).

Material includes itineraries, accommodation arrangements, meeting minutes, bills, accounts and costings, correspondence, and information sheets relating to the organisation of the visit which took place from 22nd March to 24th March 1997. The file also includes some memorabilia from the visit, including a poster for the twin city friendship concert held 23rd March 1997, and a photograph of the concert. There are more photographs relating to the choir in the photograph series (reference: YPC/10).

2003:
Material includes itineraries, accommodation arrangements, meeting minutes, bills accounts and costings, correspondence, meeting minutes relating to the organisation of a trip which took place from the 12th to 14th April 2003.

A file of various newspaper clippings relating to the choir. These have been kept in original order but do not appear to be in date order. Some of the articles are photocopies.

Newspaper clippings can also be in other sections of the collection. There are photocopies of newspaper clippings in the file of loose meeting minutes and administrative papers (reference: YPC/1/1); various newspaper clippings, plus a full copy of issue 23 of the newspaper Verbandsgemeinde Mitteilungsblatt (2001), included in the travel memorabilia (reference: YPC/8/2); and there are newspaper clippings included in the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir scrapbook compiled by a previous musical director (reference: YPC/12/4).

The files include various photographs of the choir, at events, parties, concerts and contests. Some of these photographs were originally stored together in plastic wallets, where this was the case those photographs have been repackaged in the same envelopes. The loose photographs have been separated into mounted photographs, loose photographs and photographs on paper for storage purposes, but were all originally stored loose in the same box.
