Contains some handwritten notes and a book titled 'The Wholesome Booke of Psalmes' (from 1612).

John Alder Knowles enlisted as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Land Forces. Also includes a menu card for a dinner of the Cadets of No 5 Officer Cadet Battalion held on 30/3/1917.
