Label damaged and not possible to read. Title on printed engraving: 'Vaults to St Mary's Abbey'. The publication date is given as 1 November 1807 and the engraving is attributed to 'J. Halfpenny'. Joseph Halfpenny (1748-1811) was a draughtsman and engraver who was born in Bishopthorpe and worked in York. Glass plate negative.

His epitaph reads, 'Here lyeth Mr Thomas Magnus, arch-deacon of the East Riding in the metropolitan church of York, and parson of this church, which died the 18th day of August, anno domino 1550, whose soul God pardon.'
