Notice requesting all books to be returned before Saturday 13 August 1927 (most likely in preparation for the move to the new public library building).

The notice states that direct access to the shelves was prohibited due to "unauthorised borrowing from the reference library". Framed.

There is a second notice in the frame, instructing readers to leave books on the table when finished with them. To view this notice, please ask a member of staff to remove it from the frame.
