Instructions to Counsel for Indictment in the case of Regina v. The Inhabitants of the Township of Stirton with Thorlby for the want of repairs of the road leading from Skipton to Gargrave. The instructions also include an accompanying document confirming that the length of the Keighley and Kendal Turnpike Road in the township of Stirton with Thorlby repaired by the Trustees (2572 linear yards, measured 15 February 1857 by Robert Bradley, surveyor). The document also contains two letters to W. Gray, Solicitor, York with instructions to lay information and to lay indictment.
