Labelled 'County Hospital, York, 1741' and 'Yorkshire Museum'. Caption below sketch: 'To the Governors and Trustees of York County Hospital this North West View is most humbly inscribed by their most obedient Servant R. Holme'. On the left there is a caption regarding the patients admitted between 1740 [?] and 1766. The total number admitted is listed as 14969 and the list also includes 'discharged cured', 'relieved', and 'incurable'. Lantern slide.

A moral showing how a royal vessel was sunk by a meek wind, during the butterfly season, to the delight of the great sea serpent and other amphibious monsters. - Published by the Hudson's Bay Company, 5, Haymarket. The chain is also composed of linked leopards and there is a smaller silver shield attached to the main shield, also bearing the arms of the city, with a single pendant leopard hanging below it.
