They are empowered to propound the interest of the Dean and Chapter over the rebuilding of Serjeants Inn on Fleet Street which had been destroyed in the fire from which London was being rebuilt. The following names appear in the margin as personally ratifying and confirming the agents; Dr Wm Sancroft, Dr Anth. Elcocke, Dr John Neile, Dr John Cole, Dr John Lake and Dr Timo Thurscross. Robert Hitch is named as the Dean at the head of the document.
