Originally contained in an envelope entitled 'How the money was raised.'

Under each heading, notes have been stuck regarding specific windows and projects, in date order. The booklet itself is made up of cut-down newspapers.

The bundle includes newspaper cuttings and other notes collected by John Ward Knowles and relating to events in the city of Leeds, including obituaries. Also includes two souvenir programmes for the City of Leeds Tercentenary Celebrations, July 1926, and article from Woman's Home magazine entitled 'The Romance of Old China', one programme for the Leeds Musical Festival Album and one exercise book of newspaper cuttings entitled 'Scripture'.

The booklet was produced by The Yorkshire Printing Co Ltd. The booklet is interleaved with articles by John Alder Knowles, including one entitled 'A Jesse Window in the south aisle of the Choir of York Minster'.
