Attested by appending the Broad Seal of this Island (Jamaica) the 16th day of May 1797 by The Right Honourable Alexander Earl of Balearres Lieutenant Governor and Commander in Chief in and over this His Majesty’s Island of Jamaica and other the Territories thereon by appending the Broad Seal of this Island. Large heavy round seal attached. He gives his slaves to Joanna Adams, a free mulatto woman, with instructions that on her death one of them is to be freed and paid £10 current money of Jamaica per year. Mentions the Stoney family of Pateley Bridge in Yorkshire.
