Includes receipts, invoices and cheque stubs arranged chronologically. Incomplete series. The collection is not thought to represent all the financial transactions accrued by the Company during this period. Some later files also include correspondence and press cuttings.
Please note that receipt stubs are usually contained in five year bundles, but filed with the records of the first year concerned. The records up until 1890 correspond with the entries in BUT/2/1. These files were originally contained in a metal deed box. See BUT/4 for the deed box itself, which has also been retained.
