Includes two monochrome photographic prints of a photograph taken c. 1890 showing a view of Goodramgate. The original image may be in the Evelyn collection, held, by the Yorkshire Architectural and Yorkshire Archaeological Society. Caption on the back of the image reads 'Goodramgate York, showing 'The Gatehouse' leading to College Street.
Also includes a monochrome postcard containing a copy of the same image, with the caption 'Goodramgate, before the opening of Deangate, c. 1980'.

Four copies of the monochrome photograph, including three monochrome photographic prints and one printed our copy of the image. The image showing houses in The Bedern and Bedern Hall before their demolition in 1883.
Captions on the back of one of the prints indicates that the images show the North side of Bedern, and that they are copies from a 1925 publication by George Benson 'York from the Reformation to the year 1925'. Captions also include a photographer's stamp for P.W. Hanstock.
