Plates 1 and 2 depict same image of four lights with male saints and kings in the upper parts, family crests and praying figures (donors?) below. Plate 3 shows four lights of a stained glass window, depicting Jesus, St Peter, and two other male saints, and possible donor figures at prayer below. Plate 4 shows four lights depicting St George, and St Christopher carrying the Christ child, with family crests beneath. Plate 5 shows four lights of a stained glass window depicting St Peter and three others (St William?) and family crests below.

The volume includes a full print of the text of the essays, as well as handwritten annotations by John Alder Knowles and pasted-in black and white and colour illustrations. In the front of the volume is a collection of 14 letters regarding the publication of the volume.

These items were found packaged with the remaining items in the Knowles archive, however their exact provenance cannot be ascertained.
