Black and white photograph of Benton in his army uniform, seated in the front row of a group photograph with a number of army officers.
Includes one photograph of Robert Benton with his wife and eldest son (father of the depositor), one photograph of Robert Benton with officers from his regiment, two photographs of him recovering from injuries sustained in 1918 and one photograph taken after the First World War. Digital copies of all these items also exist.
Written from the 2nd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station in response to letters from Mrs Benton and Mr Benton senior, the letter includes details of Robert Benton's movements following his injury.
Includes two certified copies of a certificate of birth, one discharge certificate, and a digitised copy of the medical notes of Robert Benton prior to his discharge. Digital copies of all these items also exist. Please note that the medical records are held in digital copy only.
