The affidavit recites that probate was granted to Jonathon Gray and The Rev. Christopher Sykes as the other executor on 17 July 1826 when the estate was sworn to be under the value of £16,000 and that Stamp Duty of £250 was accordingly paid on the said probate. The deponent further stated that since obtaining the said probate it had been discovered that too little stamp duty was paid thereon. The sum of £1,676-16s-3d had been discovered as the correct value of the estate.
