Funções, ocupações e atividades
Acomb Local History Group began by hosting slideshows at Acomb Library. As membership grew, the Library became too small and historical walks became the focus of the Group's activities. The Group conducts a wide range of research on the history of Acomb, from various members including Geoff Hodgson and David Lodge. From 2004 the Group became less focussed around walks and turned their activities towards meetings with an hour long speaker on a local subject. The Group also has a strong social element with 'many old school friendships...been renewed and new friendships formed.' Members continue to meet regularly and hold an AGM.
