Most of the images are photographic prints created by J W Knowles and Sons and pasted ont blank postcards. Some are identified and include Fountains Abbey, cathedrals in France, Switzerland and Belgium, photographs of York streets and buildings, details from York Minster fabric rolls relating to glass and glaziers, York Minster windows, Great Malvern, St Martin's Church Leicester, All Saint's North Street York, Gloucester Catherdral and others. The images are not identified however the numbers on the reverse of some images appear to be panel numbers. It is possible that these images relate to one or more of the windows in York Minster or from churches elsewhere in York, and certainly includes at least one image from the St William window.
