Handwritten memoir of the work Walter Rylatt carried out as a stonemason / carver for York Corporation. In particular, he worked on the carvings on Micklegate Bar, which were replaced ahead of the Festival of Britain in 1951. Includes photographs and hand-drawn images throughout, and one loose photograph inside the front cover. Some of the pages have been deliberately removed before transfer to the archives service. The cover includes a copper engraving of Micklegate Bar.

The letter is from Beatrice Roy, and encloses a York Penny Post letter addressed to Miss Elizabeth Agar. The enclosed letter is clearly 19th century but undated.

Memoir of a group of ex-students of Bootham School, as they had their 70th birthdays in 2020. The accounts have been anonymised by the authors where necessary, and include details of career paths of the individuals and their thoughts on the school.
