Note only street improvements undertaken prior to the establishment of the Streets and Buildings Committee (i.e. up to c1890) have been catalogued. Later records relating to street improvements are currently uncatalogued.

Various records relating to the management of staff at the Factory including rules fo various funds and groups, staff manual, training course notes and an accident book for the Canteen.

Records relating to land and factory of the Glassworks. Included are deeds relating to land and property ownership, plans of the site and factory, inventories and valuations on the machinery and assets of the company. Also included are specifications relating to specific elements of the factory's upkeep and paperwork regarding the return of stock upon the closure of the Plant.

House inspection records for the Nunnery Lane Area. Include records for the following streets: Nunnery Lane; Cygnet Street; Dove Street; Caroline Street; Drake Street; and Spencer Street. Includes small, scale plans of properties.

City of York Council records relating to wildlife and the natural environment in York

Parochial, municipal and parliamentary registers of electors. Depending on the extent of the franchise at different periods, these may be found in seperate volumes or combined together. Registers up to and including 2006 are on open shelves in the Archives reading room and do not need to be ordered: Y/COU/6/1, Y/COU/6/2, Y/COU/6/3, Y/COU/6/4. The current electoral roll is found in series Y/COU/6/5 and Y/COU/6/6 and do need to be requested. Different access regulations appy to the edited and full versions, staff will be able to advise on which you should order.

Many of these chapbooks are undated, but all appear to be from the first quarter of the 19th century. They were printed and sold in York, and primarily aimed at children in the city. The chapbooks all contain lavish woodcuts as illustrations throughout, and many contain a full Roman printed alphabet and Italian printed alphabet at either the beginning or the end. These particular chapbooks are all very small in format. Please see individual item descriptions for information about each title, or CBK/2 for larger format chapbooks.

This series comprises 7 bound volumes, the diaries of Cuthbert Joseph Kleiser (1855-1929). They mainly focus on events in York, particularly associated with the theatre and dramatic arts. They are handwritten.

This series includes 37 programmes for theatre and operatic performances by various amateur theatrical and operatic groups, at various venues around York. There is also a menu for a dinner for the Gallery First Nighters' club. The collection was probably compiled by Cuthbert Joseph Kleiser (1855-1929) who had a keen interest in the theatre.

Includes individual case files and lists of prisoners.

Both volumes are indexed.
