Information includes the title of the play, the theatre company performing it, the theatre where it was performed, dates of performances, a brief summary of the run of the production elsewhere, character lists, lists of other performers taking part in the production (e.g. chorus singers), summaries of the plays act by act, and personal observations on performances.

Correspondence of Cuthbert Joseph Kleiser reflecting his personal and business life and his interest in, and support of the theatre in York and further afield. With the exception of KLE/5/1/25, all correspondence is from other individuals to Kleiser. He is sometimes addressed as 'Joseph', 'Joe' or 'Mr J Kleiser', particularly in the more informal letters from friends and family. Indeed, he signs himself 'J Kleiser' in the single piece of correspondence sent by him to Mr Cahill (KLE/5/1/25).

He later served in North Africa, Sicily and Italy and was later re-trained as a Loader/Operator and ended his wartime career in the 4th Queen’s Own Hussars as a Corporal in March 1947. After the war, Goldstein worked for his Father’s clothing company and later became a Manager for other clothing companies. He is Jewish and joined AJEX after war' (transcript).
