Plan, section and book of reference accompanying the first York & North Midland Railway Bill, which received the Royal Assent on 21 June 1836. The plan is for a line commencing within York city walls, near Tanner Row, and terminating at a junction with the North Midland Railway in the vicinity of Altofts.

227 mounted colour transparencies showing York and the surrounding area, principally Wiggington. The photographs were taken by Ian Winduss, who worked for the York Corporation and later North Yorkshire County Council as a quantity surveyor. Some of the images appear to have been taken in a professional capacity, while others show personal and social events.

Three black and white photographic prints showing images of Clifton Airfield in use as the City of York Aerodrome in the 1930s. Includes images showing a view of the airfield and buildings from above, view of an aircraft hanger with a bi-plane, and an image of a service vehicle. These images are late 20th century copies of original photographs.
