Includes overcrowding surveys; surveys of underground room; registers of Housing Inspectors' reports and register of unfit houses; general administrative papers relating to clearances and improvements; clearances papers (many of which include plans); improvement papers; house inspection records; clearance photographs; and papers relating to the improvement of rental properties.
Original published lists of felons convicted at the York Assizes and moved to York Castle for their sentences to be carried out. The lists include names, ages, details of their crimes and the sentence passed. All lists are numbered and arranged by date of the offence.
