By Shrigley & Hunt. The plates depict three different stained glass windows: St Cuthbert and the Venerable Bede, St Paul and St Wilfrid, Jesus and Mary(?). Late 19th century.

Volumes of handwritten notes regarding the stained glass windows in York Minster. The first volume is prefaced by the following: 'The following notes formed the first draft for a work on the Stained Glass of the Minster by the late J W Knowles. They were collected, arranged and presented to the Library by his Executors. An amended copy including all his original sketches and drawings for illustration is in the Victoria & Albert Museum Library.
