Book entitled 'The King's Manor' reprinted from Royal Commission on Historial Monuments 'City of York' vol IV. Also includes a letter from John West-Taylor dated 22 January 1985 from the University of York to York Civic Trust entitled 'An appeal to restore the fabric of the King's Manor'.

Original records of John Murray, including correspondence, railway service record, and a speech to the tutorial class at Llangorse, 18 March 1944 on 'The development of Railways in Wales in the 19th century.

Includes maps, a booklet with sketches, correspondence, notes relating to York, Beverley and Scarborough, and drafts of Hugh Murrays book on town plans.

The image appears to be a former main line double track that has become disused except for colliery traffic. There is a (colliery) shunting diesel engine shed on the right and a lorry in the right middle distance.

Four copies of the monochrome photograph, including three monochrome photographic prints and one printed our copy of the image. The image showing houses in The Bedern and Bedern Hall before their demolition in 1883.

Captions on the back of one of the prints indicates that the images show the North side of Bedern, and that they are copies from a 1925 publication by George Benson 'York from the Reformation to the year 1925'. Captions also include a photographer's stamp for P.W. Hanstock.

Includes two monochrome photographic prints of a photograph taken c. 1890 showing a view of Goodramgate. The original image may be in the Evelyn collection, held, by the Yorkshire Architectural and Yorkshire Archaeological Society. Caption on the back of the image reads 'Goodramgate York, showing 'The Gatehouse' leading to College Street.

Also includes a monochrome postcard containing a copy of the same image, with the caption 'Goodramgate, before the opening of Deangate, c. 1980'.
