Biographical history
William Arthur Jagger was born in 1897, the son of Albert and Rose Jagger. In 1920, he married Ethel Cook and they had two children - Irene May Jagger (b. 1920) and Peter Francis Jagger (b. 1925). He died in 1996.

This collection comprises extensive accounts of the Jagger family, dating from 1926-1971. The accounts reflect Jagger's political, social, and religious leanings, his personal life and interests, and the day to day life of the Jagger family. They also provide and insight into the history of York as many mentions are made of local events and businesses. The collection includes accounts and balance sheets as well as expense information.
