Includes papers collected by Canon Purvis in his roles as Diocesan Archivist, member of the York Civic Trust Academic Development Committee and member of the York Summer Schools committee. Also includes papers created in the context of Purvis' work on the Mystery Plays and his subsequent book on the subject, as well as York Academic Trust, St Anthony's Hall and the Borthwick Institute.
