Files comprise correspondence and notes on individuals who came under the supervision of the Yorkshire Association of Mental Welfare. Individuals supervised were regarded as being learning impaired; having some form of mental disability,; or being at risk of developing mental health issues. Summary information for each case may be found by consulting the case cards (see YAM/1).

These case files have been kept in their original order which was not strictly alphabetical. See finding aids for alphabetical list of all cases.

Thers is a folder with an alphabetical list of the patient cards (YAM/1) in the archive box with YAM/1. This list is also available in an Access database and Excel spreadsheet.
