Set of employee salaried staff record book. In some cases the books have been disbound and repackaged by the archivist. The volumes include names of employees, dates of birth, insurance numbers (where applicable) as well as details of positions worked and grades. Also includes details of salaries and bonuses achieved. The volumes are predominantly from the 20th century, but in some cases relate to employees born in the 19th century. The volumes are arranged by the surname of the staff member, and there are overlapping volumes for the same surnames in some cases.

At present this collection only comprises boxes of wooden printing blocks with copper plates (and in some cases steel plates), used in the production of J B Morrell's publications. This series of conveyances includes a number issued by the Corporation of York and others issued by third parties, relating to land and premises in the City of York area. Also includes property files such as commercial conveyances, purchases/acquisitions, title enquiries, commercial/business leases, deeds and title documents for various lands owned by City of York Council.

These negatives and postcards were originally individually labelled by J W Knowles, and stored in poor quality envelopes. During the process of cataloguing, these items were repackaged into archival quality envelopes, and the details on the original envelopes transferred to the catalogue descriptions. This information now appears in the 'Title' field. Please see individual item descriptions for full details of this extensive series.
