Volumes, lists, and notes regarding theatre performances and other cultural productions in York and Yorkshire and across the country. Compiled by Cuthbert Joseph Kleiser. Some of the notes are written in biro, dating their creation to the mid to late 20th century, most likely pre-1989..
The papers were held in the custody of Frank Higgins prior to his death in 2018. Higgins was a committee member of the Rowntree Players, and also of the Tadcaster Players. Also includes papers relating to the Tadcaster Players.
Many items in this collection were deposited in the York Reference Library primarily, by a number of different people, many of whom are now unknown. The cuttings are arranged into series by the year in which they were catalogued.
Two notebooks comprising a log of the activities of the club, including details of attendees on the walks, notes on the routes taken, and other observations, including transport and weather conditions. Each notebook includes a hand drrawn logo of the group, showing a tortoise with SLOW across the shell.
