Administrative book including three sections:
Minutes of club meetings, principally concerning proposals and admissions of members and club rules
Stock accounts, showing financial transactions principally relating to the payment of fines
Register of attendance, including lists of members showing their attendance at meetings, and the names of any visitors which they brought to those meetings

A note in the front of the volume records that this was 'supposed to be the 4th volume of the minutes of the York Musical Society'. A printed ticket for the celebration of the anniversary of the society, held in 1796, has been stuck onto the end board of the volume.
